Design a program to meet your needs

The CGA Program offers an innovative blend of independent and collaborative online learning resources using hardcopy materials and leading-edge technologies.

You can take advantage of Internet based features such as online lectures, course tutors, audio review sessions, networking with students enrolled in the CGA program across Canada and throughout the world, etc.

If you prefer to learn in a classroom setting, CGA course lectures are offered in many major centres. For more information on the classroom options available in your community contact your local CGA office.

As a student in the CGA program, you have the unique opportunity to tailor your professional level studies to the career direction you have chosen. At the PACE level, you can choose from Financial Management Career Options including:

Corporate and Small-Medium Enterprise

For students interested in managing the resources of corporate entities, including SMEs, with emphasis on capital, investment decisions, long-term planning and competitive analysis.

Information Technology

For students pursuing a career related to the analysis, design, and implementation of computer-based information systems from a management end-user perspective, or for those involved in management auditing including EDP auditing, and systems development activities.

Government and Not-For-Profit

For students pursuing careers in the public sector, association management, charitable and not-for-profit organization management, health service organizations, and education. Emphasizes public sector accounting, not-for-profit reporting issues, expenditure controls and strategic planning.

Public Practice

Prepares students for success in a public practice career providing accounting, auditing, tax planning, and business consulting services to corporate and SME clients.

Design a personal career option

You can design a personal career option different from the recommended Financial Management Career Options. Your option must include two elective courses/exams selected from the PACE level plus PA1 Issues in Professional Practice and PA2 Strategic Financial Management.
